What is Eco Investing?

Eco investing involves making investments in public companies that stand to profit in the near future from our transition to a carbon neutral and sustainable world.

These Eco companies primarily operate in the sectors of Renewable Energy, Building and Efficiency, Transportation, Water and Eco Living, which generally supports human health and nutrition.

Eco Investor Guide's mission is to advance public awareness and provide the information for making informed investment decisions in the Eco sector. Our aim is to be the number one source for market news, research, opinion, analysis and investment advisor listings for the Eco investment community.

To Submit a Company, Fund or Index

The universe of Eco companies, funds and indexes is growing daily. Help us to keep up-to-date by submitting a company, fund or index that we’ve overlooked, or any that contain errors, omissions or broken links.

Guidelines

What defines a “Eco” is more often than not open to interpretation, as many companies engage in more than one product line. Valid arguments can be made on whether an oil company that is investing in solar and renewables is truly Eco. We try to avoid moral or philosophical arguments over what makes a company Eco, and allow the market to decide. If a company engages in products or services related to the industry, we will include them on our Web site. That being said, we will review your submission and evaluate each company or fund individually to decide on its inclusion.
