Ameron International Corporation (AMN) is a multinational manufacturer of highly-engineered products and materials for the chemical, industrial, energy, transportation and infrastructure markets. Ameron is a producer of water transmission lines and fabricated steel products, such as wind towers; fiberglass-composite pipe for transporting oil, chemicals and corrosive fluids and specialized materials and products used in infrastructure projects.
Recently Ameron completed it’s first commercial wind tower order consisting of 25 2 megawatt wind turbine towers. SDGE purchased the entire output from the new 50 megawatt wind power farm. The output from this farm can furnish enough power to run approximately 10,000 homes annually or can replace 150,000 barrels of foreign oil per year.
