Bunge Limited (BG) is an agribusiness and food company. The company supplies fertilizer to farmers in South America, originates, transports and processes oilseeds, grains and other agricultural commodities worldwide, produces food products for commercial customers and consumers, and supplies raw materials and services to the biofuels industry. Bunge also provides Brazilian farmers with sustainability education and consultation on crop rotation and soil conservation techniques, land-use planning, precision-farming methods and other practices that increase farm productivity, thus reducing the need to cultivate new land. Bunge also supplies some of the raw materials used in biofuel production, produces sugar-based ethanol in Brazil and is a minority partner in select joint ventures that manufacture and market biodiesel and corn-based ethanol.
