IDACORP, Inc., (IDA) through its subsidiary, Idaho Power Company owns and operates 17 hydroelectric generation developments, 2 natural gas-fired plants, and a diesel-powered generator, as well as shares ownership in 3 coal-fired generating plants. Ida-West Energy is one of IDACORP’s subsidiaries and it has ownership in nine hydroelectric projects. The 17 hydroelectric generators provide 1,709 megawatts of nameplace capacity. IDACORP’s service area spans some of the most rugged and remote landscape across southern Idaho and eastern Oregon.
