Southwestern Energy Company (SWN) is an integrated energy company headquartered in Houston, Texas, primarily focused on the exploration for and production of natural gas. Originally organized in 1929 as a local natural gas distribution company in Arkansas, today the Company is involved in the following activities: Natural Gas and Crude Oil Exploration and Production – Southwestern is engaged in natural gas and oil exploration, development and production in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana. Midstream Services – The Company’s Midstream Services segment generates revenue through the marketing of its own gas production and some third-party natural gas and from gathering fees associated with the transportation of natural gas to market.
